Generated SEO metadata is synchronized with supported active SEO plugins, including Yoast SEO and Rank Math SEO. When ByTheWeb GEO is active, GEO fields are also generated for the article.

Security & Access Control

Security is our top priority. ByTheWeb AI strictly follows WordPress capability standards to ensure that your API credits are completely safe from unauthorized usage. Subscribers, store customers, or guests cannot trigger AI actions or consume your credits.

• Content Generation & Editing: Only users with the edit_posts capability (Administrators, Editors, Authors, and Contributors) have access to the AI Article Wizard, Image Generator, Media Optimizer, and FAQ generation tools.
• System Settings & Auto Pilot: Users with the manage_options or edit_others_posts capabilities (Administrators and Editors) can configure the Auto Pilot, manage the AI queue, update pricing caches, and modify general plugin settings. However, modifying the API Key and managing credits is strictly restricted to Administrators (manage_options).
• AJAX Endpoint Protection: Every single AJAX endpoint in our plugin is protected by a double-layer security mechanism. This includes strict Nonce Verification to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks, and a Capability Check (current_user_can) to ensure the logged-in user is authorized before executing any action. Unauthorized requests are immediately rejected by the server.

External services

This plugin connects to our external API service (ByTheWeb.Cloud) to process AI-powered features such as article generation, FAQ generation, image generation, and image analysis without slowing down your server.

• What data is sent and when:
  • When an authorized user launches AI Audit, the plugin opens the ByTheWeb.ai Website Scanner in a new browser tab and includes the current website domain in the btw_scan_url URL parameter.
  • Launching AI Audit does not intentionally send private WordPress administration content, passwords, unpublished posts, or private database content.
  • When generating an article, the plugin sends the article topic (prompt) and the site’s locale language to our server.
  • When generating or analyzing images, the plugin sends the image subject, environment preferences, or the URL of the image being analyzed.
  • When generating FAQ schema, the plugin sends the post’s text content to our server for analysis.
  • Every API request includes your API Key and your site’s Domain URL for authentication purposes.
