Description

A lightweight WordPress plugin that automatically expires posts by moving them to draft status based on expiry date/time.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin from the WordPress Plugin Directory
  2. Upload the plugin files to /wp-content/plugins/post-expiry-scheduler/
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
  4. Go to Settings > Post Expiry to configure the plugin

How does the plugin work?

The plugin adds an expiry date/time picker to your post edit screen. When the specified date/time is reached, the post is automatically moved to draft status.

Can I restore expired posts?

Yes! The plugin includes a recovery feature that allows you to restore recently expired posts.

Does this work with custom post types?

The free version supports standard WordPress posts. Additional post types are available in the Pro version.

How often are posts checked for expiry?

Posts are checked every 5 minutes via WordPress cron.
